Jisu Kim
MS @ GT Interactive Computing
Prospective PhD student
Hi there! I’m a researcher at Georgia Institute of Technology. I am actively exploring full-time research or industry opportunities and will apply to PhD programs starting Fall 2026.
I recently completed my master’s at
Interactive Computing at Georgia Tech, where I was fortunate to be advised by
Richmond Wong and to collaborate closely with
Christopher J. MacLellan and
Ashok Goel.
I hold a double major in
KAIST School of Computing and
KAIST College of Business, where I was advised by
Juho Kim.
My research is driven by the fundamental question: How can AI make people more intelligent, wise, and creative?
I explore how humans and AI can amplify each other’s abilities (co-augmentation) and knowledge (co-learning), particularly in professional and creative domains.
To achieve this, I focus on (1) understanding how people perform in AI-assisted workflows and (2) designing human-centric systems that augment—rather than replace—human cognition and agency, while enabling AI to learn and adapt to dynamic user context.
During my master’s and bachelor’s studies, I gained industry experience as an ML engineer/Data Scientist at
Tesla (2024),
Samsung SDS (2021), and
Samsung Research (2020).
My master’s research was supported by a
Georgia Tech Graduate Research Assistant Scholarship, and my bachelor's study was fully supported by the
Korea Student Aid Foundation's National Scholarship.
I like narrativity, uncertainty, and serendipity.
